tate CaresAllen Tate Company launches combined community giving campaign

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (February 11, 2013) – One of the  most respected values of the Allen Tate Company is a commitment to support the local communities where Allen Tate Realtors® and employees live and work.

Beginning this month, Allen Tate will kick-off Tate Cares, a combined annual giving campaign to support arts and cultural organizations, United Way agencies and public education. Kim Overman, branch leader for the Allen Tate Steele Creek office in Charlotte, will serve as chairperson for Tate Cares in the Charlotte and Upstate, SC regions. Sandra O’Connor, branch leader for the Allen Tate Green Valley office in Greensboro, will serves as chairperson for Tate Cares in the Triad and Triangle regions.

“We hope that this new approach to giving will be more convenient, while remaining meaningful to Allen Tate Realtors, employees and recipients,” said Pat Riley, Allen Tate Company president and chief operating officer.

“People want to feel a connection with where they donate and why it matters. This type of campaign allows individuals to direct their contributions to organizations they are passionate about,” said Riley.

The company will continue with its annual FUNDay event held each fall. For 15 years, Allen Tate agents have embraced this “day of play” to raise money for public education organizations in local Allen Tate communities.

The Tate Cares campaign begins mid-February for employees and on March 5 for Realtors, at the company’s annual Spring Convention at the Charlotte Convention Center.
